Since the inception of higher education, students enroll in college to receive a quality education. Scholarship is one of the main values which all fraternities in the IFC were established upon, as it has been regarded as significant to the development of the fraternity man. The IFC prides itself on having an average GPA that is higher than the all-male average of the student body on campus. In addition to every fraternity in the IFC requiring its members to maintain above a certain cumulative and semester GPA, the Interfraternity Council also have minimum GPA standard for its member fraternities.
For the 2011-2012 academic year, IFC fraternities are offering scholarships to all incoming male freshmen and male transfer students. Whether or not you plan on joining a fraternity, we highly encourage you to apply for these scholarships as it will help you meet your financial obligations at Virginia Commonwealth University.
